MILD TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY SYMPTOMS
A mild traumatic brain injury is characterized by either no loss of consciousness or a quick loss of consciousness lasting only a few seconds or few minutes. While testing of the brain may appear normal, the sufferer is typically dazed and confused, and may have suffered a concussion.
With a concussion, the brain ricochets inside of the skull during an accident or traumatic event. When this occurs damage to the brain can occur to the brain stem, the frontal lobe and temporal lobes. While the sufferer may appear normal, and show no outward symptoms, an untreated mild traumatic brain injury can develop into something more serious with time.
